Event location address:

So, you attended a protest. You have a Black friend and you want to be an ally. But, what does it mean to be an ally? Even more importantly, what does it mean to be an effective ally? More people are coming forward as allies to speak up against racial injustice. Maybe you want to help, you want to educate, and you want to bring awareness...but you don't know how or where to start. This event is for you.

Hosted by Black voices in Taipei, this event is an open discussion to explore the meaning, the necessity, and the responsibility of allyship. The purpose is to create a safe and open space for voices of all colors, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and genders to understand how we can support each other, bring awareness, and create equality for us all.

Some questions we will discuss are:
What does it mean to be an ally?
How can I educate myself on Black history and racial injustices?
How can I resolve mistakes I have made in the past?
What can I do to help?

This is a safe, judgment-free space. We are here to educate, support, and empower one another. Negative comments, bullying, cancelling, and gaslighting are not allowed.

Suggested donation: $300
Funds raised will support antiracism organizations.
